FIMER Powers BESS at Capgemini

FIMER supplied three 2MVA PCS bidirectional converters for two office campuses in India. With Black Start Mode/Grid forming mode, the PCS can form the grid during outages.
IT multinational firm Capgemini has implemented multiple initiatives towards reaching 100% renewable energy for their power supply. To ensure grid stability, FIMER supplied three 2MVA PCS bidirectional converters for two office campuses in Mumbai and Noida, India. Installed by Arcedo and Replus Engitech in 2023, the two 3.5MW and 2.5MW BESS systems can store excess renewable energy during the day and use it during peak evening hours. The inverters also support load demand if solar energy is insufficient and offer a quick return on investment. With FIMER's Black Start Mode/Grid forming mode, the PCS can form the grid in V/F mode during power outages and act as backup. The project will reduce 70,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
