  • Eurowind Energy shines in Romania with a 60.2-MW solar project, set to power 30,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by 37,125 tonnes annually.

Danish renewable project developer Eurowind Energy has begun construction on a 60.2-MW solar photovoltaic project in Transylvania, Romania. The Teius park, located near Teius in Alba County, will cost around EUR 55 million and receive EUR 15 million in state funding from Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The project will consist of over 119,000 PV panels and is expected to generate 103,592 MWh of electricity annually, offsetting 37,125 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

The solar farm is projected to be operational by the end of June and will have enough capacity to power over 30,000 local homes. Eurowind Energy also received approval to build two wind farms in France and Germany last summer. The Romanian project is being developed by project vehicle Teius Solar Srl.
