Duke Energy Florida finishes 75-MW Duette project seven weeks early

  • Duke Energy Florida's Duette Solar energy Plant is currently operational.

The Duette facility was improved about 520 acres in Manatee County, Florida, and was placed in service on Oct. 25-- greater than 7 weeks ahead of its scheduled conclusion date. It becomes part of Duke Energy Florida's $1 billion financial investment to give customers with 700 MW of clean energy by 2022.

The 74.5-MW single-axis tracking Duette project was first revealed in May 2020, in addition to twin 74.9-MW sites Charlie Creek as well as Sandy Creek. Those 2 projects are expected to be finished within the following six months.
