Dominican Republic okays 93 MW of new solar projects

CNE authorized the building and construction and operation of the Parque Energy Solar del Este Cabreto I, in Santo Domingo district. The project is possessed by French solar programmer Urbasolar, through local arm Energy Solar Del Este Cabreto I SAS.

According to CNE, the 50-MW Cabreto l system is developed to have a peak capability of 55.4 MWp.

France-based Urbasolar belongs to Swiss energy group Axpo Holding AG.

The second clear-cut giving in was provided for the 43-MW/50.32-MWp Planta Solar Marti PV plant project, in Santo Domingo district. Local propane gas supplier Tropigas Dominicana is the company behind the development.
