Decom Solar decommissions and recycles 360-kW solar array for Target

  • Decom Solar has successfully finished the decommissioning of a 360-kW rooftop solar array in Los Angeles, California, for Target Corporation and PowerFlex. The previous system included legacy Shell Powerlight modules, Xantrax inverters and also an incorporated PowerGuard flat racking option. The whole project, including the removal of all system equipment, was completed within 3 weeks.

PowerFlex, which took care of the decommissioning project, will be including a new system to the roof later this year.

All modules from the project have been carried to SOLARCYCLE's sophisticated recycling facility in Odessa, Texas, where the panels are refined, recycled and rehabilitated into the supply chain.
