German chemical company BASF has authorized solar and wind PPAs for greater than 20 production sites in the USA with a complete capacity of 250MW.

BASF Corporation will certainly purchase 100MW of electricity generated by Dawn Solar.

An additional 150 MW of renewable resource capacity will certainly be added with purchases with EDF Energy Services.

They will serve to compensate for fossil-fuel-generated electricity in the general public grid, which is used at more than 20 BASF production sites in various places.

The move implies the share of renewable energies in BASF's total electricity consumption in The United States and Canada will rise to over 25%.
