Councillors have unanimously backed prepare for a 40MW solar farm to be established at Skeeby, East of Richmond, North Yorkshire, in UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's constituency.

When running the solar farm will certainly generate sufficient power for 11,500 homes leading to C02 financial savings of 21,250 tonnes per year.

Harmony Energy is in the final stages of establishing a significant battery energy storage space facility at Pillswood, near Cottingham, in East Yorkshire.

When completed this month, the new facility will certainly have the capacity to store up to 198MWh of power to feed straight back right into the network, making it the largest battery energy storage space facility in the UK.
